6 years ago, Jane, my husband’s former officemate, reached out to us to discuss something I have heard but was not yet that familiar at that time – virtual assistant online jobs. She specifically wanted to talk to me about this pretty new gig. I had been dabbling in different small businesses during those times. From baking, photo booth events to online selling, I did these small endeavors in order to help out with my family’s finances. Jane knew of this and she wanted to check if I wanted to try this out. But at that time, I was still too busy as we just had our 2nd child in 3 years. I was more into being a mother and providing maternal well-being to my two infants kids.
Fast forward to 2020 with two kids into their early elementary years, I find myself in the house while my whole family is either at work or in school. And to this, I ask myself what can I do? Gone were the days when I had at least one child beside me the whole day. Once my kids are off to school, I am left alone without much to do in the house but just wait till they get
home. And as a new day arises, the same old routine starts. And to this I ask myself: Will I just be contented with this setup? During the COVID19 pandemic, there have been a lot of news on how online jobs could be the new normal. And a familiar phrase caught my attention – Virtual Assistant online jobs.
Browsing through Facebook, I chanced upon this ad on Filipino Virtual Assistance. Something caught my eye. Aside from the promotional rates and the number of likes, the comments on the course made me curious enough to reach out and inquire. And after just one session, I was hooked. This opportunity of becoming a Virtual Assistant not only helps out my family financially, but more importantly, my mental well-being. Being a mother, I put the welfare of my family at the forefront and way ahead of my own. It’s just natural for mothers to provide unconditional love and support to all members of the household. That is why working while staying at home does not lessen my ability as a nurturer but rather strengthens this as my mental health is further enhanced. Working at home provides the best possible environment especially for mothers. Rather than being half focused in an office environment, I will be able to ensure our household’s well-being while earning the right amount to support our over-all finances. My mental health will also be boosted as my routine will no longer be focused on household chores. This is the perfect setup for me and my family. One that works at both ends – as a mother and as a partner in our finances.
With this, I am very much inspired to move forward towards my goal as a premier Virtual Assistant. I head on with a firm and confident push that this road leads me to be a better me. For my family and for me. I know I can provide the needed dedication and focus in order to provide the best possible solution to my clientele’s business needs. These are innate traits that will be the fundamental building blocks of an effective virtual assistant. Experience will follow and will only make me a better and more effective and efficient virtual assistant. To this I say, bring it on.
This is my Work. This is my Passion. This is my Commitment.
